Other Details
Car Hire
Car hire services can be reserved from any major airport, such as Pisa or Florence. Holiday Autos often have discounted car hire deals. There is ample secure, free parking available at the resort.
Driving from the UK
An undeniably unique (and brave) experience! This can be a lot of fun, and is particularly good for loading up with the best of Tuscan wine & oil. The best route is UK - Belgium - Luxembourg - Strasbourg - Switzerland - Gottardo Tunnel - Italy - Milan - Bologna - Florence - Palaia - Colleoli, a trip which will come to about thirteen hours total driving time.
Exploring the Area
Trains in Italy are fast, plentiful and cheap. A regular train between Pisa and Florence runs through Pontedera, which is a ten minute cab ride from the resort. A day trip by rail is an excellent way to explore beyond Tuscany - you can get from Florence to Rome in about ninety minutes, or Florence to Venice in two hours.
